Welcome to Modern Iconic. By purchasing from or browsing our website (www.modern-iconic.co.uk), you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK law.

2. Product Information

We specialise in high-quality reproductions of iconic designer furniture. Unless otherwise specified, all items are made to order.

Product descriptions, specifications, imagery, and material references are provided in good faith and are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication. However, due to the use of natural materials and the nature of handcrafted production, variations in colour, grain, texture, finish, and dimensions may occur. These variations shall not be considered defects.

All dimensions listed are approximate and subject to minor tolerances inherent to custom manufacturing processes. Such variations do not constitute grounds for cancellation, return, or refund unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Materials

Available materials include Italian leather, aniline leather, vintage leather, velvet, linen, boucle, and wool fabrics. Leather may vary slightly in tone and texture between batches.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT. We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Klarna (subject to approval), and bank transfer (by request). Payment must be received in full before production begins.

6. Custom Orders & Lead Times

All products are made to order. Production typically takes up to 16 weeks, depending on the item and material. Delivery estimates are not guarantees but approximations based on the latest information.

7. Delivery

We offer free UK mainland delivery. Depending on your location, delivery may be curbside or to your door. Please contact us if you have specific requirements, and we will try our best to assist.

8. Warranty

All of our products are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Please inspect your items upon delivery. Any issues identified on arrival should be reported within 7 days to help us resolve them quickly. However, if a manufacturing fault develops within 12 months of receipt, please contact us, and we will work with you to repair, replace, or refund the item.

This warranty excludes:

• Normal wear and tear
• Accidental or intentional damage
• Improper use or handling
• Exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions (e.g., humidity, temperature changes)
• Commercial or rental use
• Loss of detachable parts such as buttons or fastenings

To report an issue, email hello@modern-iconic.co.uk with your order number, description, and clear photos of the problem. We will respond promptly and aim to resolve any valid claims within 21 days.

9. Returns

If you wish to return an item:

• Contact us within 7 days of receipt at hello@modern-iconic.co.uk
• Provide your order number, reason, and photos (if faulty or incorrect)
• Await return authorisation before shipping the item back
• Return in original packaging and unused condition

Returns without prior authorisation may be refused. Items returned outside the 14-day window will not be accepted.

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty. Tracked and insured shipping is recommended. Damage from improper packaging may result in a reduced refund (up to 40%).

10. Refunds

Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting returned items. 

11. Faulty or Damaged Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If an item is damaged or defective, notify us within 48 hours with photos and a description. We will repair, replace, or refund the item at no cost to you.

12. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on bespoke or custom-made products that are not part of our regular inventory.

13. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 48 hours. After this, cancellations are at our discretion. Custom or made-to-order items may incur a fee (up to 20%) if materials have been ordered or production has started.

14. Availability

All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable, we will inform you and refund any payment made. We are not liable for compensation beyond the order value.

15. Legal

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

16. Your Consumer Rights
